The R. Tucker Thompson is a traditional gaff-rigged schooner operating seasonal voyages throughout the sheltered waterways of the Bay of Islands. Built in the tradition of historic working tall ships, she offers guests a rare encounter with heritage seamanship, featuring handcrafted rigging, timber spars, and wide open decks designed for blue-water sailing. During the summer months, the schooner departs regularly from Russell Wharf, with shoreside guest services coordinated through the maritime building on Marsden Road in Paihia.
