Fuel is arranged at the nearest marina fuel dock, or by bowser delivery where the marina supports it, and charged transparently against your booking rather than settled at the pump. It keeps a card out of the equation mid-charter and keeps the numbers auditable afterwards.
What's included

- Bowser or jerry delivery to the berth where the marina permits it.
- Fuel itemised on your booking summary at the price paid, with the receipt attached.
- Advice on range and reserve before departure so a top-up is planned, not discovered.
How to use it
- Message the operator through the relay with your position and remaining fuel.
- We confirm the nearest fuel dock and a berth window, or a delivery where one is available.
- Fuel is drawn on the operator's account and itemised against your booking.
- If you are down to reserve and out of range of a fuel dock, call Coastguard on *500 — running dry offshore is an assistance matter.
Terms
- How fuel is charged
- Fuel is charged at the price actually paid at the dock, with the receipt attached to your booking summary. No margin is added by BoardMyBoat. Where the charter is quoted fuel-inclusive, top-ups within the agreed cruising area are already covered.
- Delivery availability
- Bowser and jerry delivery depends on the marina and on local fuel handling rules; several New Zealand marinas do not permit it. Where delivery is not possible the vessel goes to the fuel dock, which may affect the itinerary.
- Returning the vessel
- Unless your charter is quoted fuel-inclusive, the vessel is returned at the fuel level it left at. A shortfall is charged at dock price plus the operator's stated refuelling fee, both shown before you book.
